Dr Jonathan Cherry MBBS FRACP FCSANZ is an interventional and general cardiologist. He specialises in interventional cardiology, acute coronary syndromes, heart failure and echocardiography.
Jonathan completed his medical degree at the University of Adelaide in 2005. Having moved to Sydney in 2007 he undertook his advanced cardiology training at St Vincent’s Hospital which included a year-long fellowship in heart failure as well as heart transplant and pulmonary hypertension. Jonathan was awarded his fellowship to the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2012. He continued to develop his expertise with an interventional cardiology fellowship at Concord Hospital in Sydney in 2013 and further interventional training at the Wesley Hospital in Brisbane in 2014.
Jonathan has been practicing as an interventional cardiologist on the Sunshine Coast until he moved his young family back to his hometown of Adelaide to spend more time with his family and friends, playing golf and supporting the Adelaide Crows.
Jonathan’s interest in medicine stems from a love of helping people and playing a role in their care. He conducts regular clinics at our Ashford, Norwood, Flinders , Morphett Vale and Victor Harbor clinics.
