Dr Iwona Gileff
Dr Iwona Gileff is a consultant physician with special interests in non-interventional cardiology especially hypertension, as well as ischemic heart disease and cardiac failure in the elderly. Her other interest is endocrine medicine particularly diabetes and thyroid disease. Dr Gileff joined SA Heart in 2005 and consults at Flinders Heart Centre.
Dr Gileff graduated from Flinders University in 1995. In 1996 she commenced her post-graduate training in medicine and then completed her advanced training in General Medicine in Flinders Medical Centre and Repatriation General Hospital (BMBS).
She was admitted to Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2002.
She also consults at Suite 601 at Flinders Private Hospital where she sees patients with variety of general medical conditions and participates in on-call roster for Medicine at Flinders Private Hospital.
Apart from private practice she also holds a part-time position as a Consultant Physician at Flinders Medical Centre in the General Medicine Department and teaches medical students and medical trainees.
Iwona was born in Poland and is fluent in her native language.
